The Cups diet
Everyone’s on a diet. You wouldn’t need to eat if you fret you are not on a diet. You just don’t name yours. It’s quite customised. Mine’s called the cups diet. Well here are some tips for eating you might consider a bit useful.
· Go easy on carbs. Don’t eat too much rice but don’t deprive yourself of it. I usually measure my rice on cups so I’ll be able to control my carb intake. Try this:
BREAKFAST- 2 to 3 cups (I sometimes eat cereal which cuts my rice by a cup.)
LUNCH- 1 ½ cups
DINNER- 1 cup
· More meat! So if you’re a veggie well sorry, but meat intake should overtake the carbs. I recommend fish as primary meat in your diet since it’s less on fat and its got some nutrients not found in red meat.
· Vegetables on the table. Have your dose of colorful veggies since it was proven that the more color a veggie has the more benefits unlike the pale colored potato.
· Don’t eat between meals! Avoid excessive snacking.
· Eat dinner before 5. If you’re loading kilojoules at the end of the day, you’re not getting rid of them.
· Work it out! Exercising might be the slowest way to lose some weight but its better than some pills on the drugstore, it also cuts the risk of heart attack depending on the length of your work out.
SAMPLE MEAL PLAN
I am an advocate of the decreasing meal plan. It’s kind of effective.
HEAVY BREAKFAST
2 cups of rice
1 cup of my favourite Century Tuna (hey no carbs!)
Some fried eggplant
1 cup hot coffee with creamer
2 sandwiches, peanut butter and ham or maybe cheese
MODERATE LUNCH
1 ½ cups of rice
1 cup of chicken adobo
1 glass mango juice
LIGHT SUPPER
I usually eat oatmeal for supper nothing more.
1 cup of rice
1 cup of soup anything just soupy
A portion of pork chop
1 glass of milk, or chocolate
Yeah, you didn’t have to starve because of a diet. You just had to limit your once excessive food intake. And go on lose some load and don’t overeat!
Icebreaker 13
